Mental health awareness week

Mental Health America of Northeast Georgia will hold its 22nd annual Mental Health Benefit Week Jan. 22-28 to help provide education and advocacy about mental illness, and to raise funds to support community efforts through its mini-grant program.

To help create a dialogue, educational opportunities will be held throughout the week led by speakers Lori Wade of the Georgia Mental Health Consumer Network, Judge David Sweat from the Athens-Clarke County Treatment and Accountability Court, and Judges Currie Mingledorf and Tammy Brown from the Barrow County Treatment Court.
